SILVARSTAR aims to support the railway community in designing trains, tracks and mitigation measures, resulting in reduced noise and vibration impact and improved exterior and interior acoustic environments. This will be achieved by providing operational prediction and demonstration tools for ground-borne noise and vibration and for exterior and interior radiated noise, that can be used by decision makers and design engineers.
The scope of the SILVARSTAR project is to address the problem of noise and vibration generated by passing trains by means of new tools based on modelling, simulation and audio-visual rendering, in order to contribute to innovative and improved solutions.
